A veterinary visit in the goat house

We brought a veterinarian into the goat house and worked through close examinations with the animals held securely.

We brought a veterinarian into the goat house to examine animals from the herd. We worked among the goats and held each animal in turn while the examination took place.

The work moved from a wider look at the herd to close handling. One goat was steadied upright for examination, while a younger animal was checked near floor level.

The final detail shows the veterinarian concentrating on the animal while we kept it still. Several goats were examined during the visit inside the same working space where we care for them each day.

We carry the observations from a veterinary visit into the animals’ individual records. That gives our routine checks a clearer starting point and keeps any follow-up connected to the goat that was examined.
